“Right Attitude” - Everything You Need To Succeed

Monday, June 30th, 2008

You must have heard of the saying - “A positive something is always better than a negative nothing”. Life is indeed meant to be abundant but most of us limit ourselves due to the negative thoughts we have built around us. These are walls built by us and we can not hold any one else responsible for it but ourselves. Therefore some of us get so negative in our approach that we do not even make an effort to solve our problems. We just sit and cry about how bad the situation is. Thought precedes action and if our thoughts are negative out action would be negative too. Therefore the very first step towards success is to change our thinking pattern.

Nothing is constant - Do you know that nothing is constant in life? Everything around you and me is dynamic? We might not notice the change but everything around us is constantly changing. Therefore same applies to our situation and circumstances. The bad patch you might be going through right now is not permanent. Things would change and you would taste the flavor of happiness sooner or later.

Positive thinking - Any and every great or successful person would always say- “It’s all about being positive”. The hardest and biggest of targets can be achieved with ease if you follow this phrase. Positive thinking always gets positives results. Some of the greatest people known in history failed at first. It’s not necessary that you would certainly get what you are looking for on the first attempt. You might have to try and try again till the time you succeed.

Be passionate - Passion is the driving force which leads you to your goal. Motivation is very important along with positive attitude in order to achieve your goal and get some where in life. Feeling of passion not only drives and motivates you but also gives you a sense of purpose in life. Whereas others just spend the most part of their life trying to figure out what do they actually want out of life?

Believe it to achieve it - Most people can’t even believe when they want to achieve in life therefore they never make an effort to achieve it. You have to believe it first to achieve it. If you can’t go there in the mind you can never go there in the body.

Life is all about making everything easier. In the olden days people could not communicate due distance barriers. Someone came up with the idea of a telephone and now we can easily communicate with anyone almost anywhere on this planet. This would not have been possible without the right attitude and the belief to make it happen. So instead of leaving yourself to the mercy of luck get up right now and go for your dreams.

Goal Setting - Why Are Goals So Hard To Reach?

Monday, June 30th, 2008

Goal setting seams to be one of those things that always looks great at the beginning but once you start gets very hard. Goals, by their nature, are things that you want but can’t yet have. It’s not that you aren’t allowed to have them but you just haven’t reached them yet. So why is it that setting goals and actually achieving them can be so hard?

When setting goals it’s important to make sure that you don’t make the goals more difficult than they already are. For instance, if you want to loose weight, make your goals as easy as possible. You already know that loosing weight isn’t the easiest thing. If it was then you would have already lost it. So, don’t get over ambitious and set a goal to loose 50 pounds in a month.

Although this may seem like a great goal, and may well be how much weight you want to loose, remember that you actually want to achieve it. Setting a goal doesn’t really mean much unless you achieve it. Make loosing 50 pounds your long term goal but don’t set a time frame for it yet. First, set up smaller goals that will help support your long term goal. Once you add up how long it will take you to achieve all your short term goals, and then set a time frame for your long term goal.

For instance, if your long term goal is to loose 50 pounds, set up reasonable goals that you can reach each week. You may set your weekly, more reachable goal, at loosing 2-5 pounds per week. By doing this you will be making goals that are challenging yet reachable and doable. If you lost an average of 2 pounds a week then it would take you 25 weeks, or just over six months, to loose fifty pounds.

By doing this you will be setting goals that are helping you succeed as opposed to setting you up for failure.

Is there greatness on the inside of you but you don’t know how to achieve it? Jason has just completed his brand new 7 part e-course, ‘Find Your Greatness’

Almost Persuaded

Monday, June 30th, 2008

“Acts 26: 24-28 And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness. For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”

Here is a letter I received the other day. “I believe this is one of saddest stories in the Bible. The king was almost Home. He was almost persuaded to make a heart commitment to Jesus and live with Him eternally in Heaven. Many of us have loved ones and friends who are almost persuaded to be a Christian. We need to search our heart and see if our actions and words to our family and friends are turning them away from Jesus. If we want our loved ones to make that final commitment to Jesus, then we need to pray for them and extend the Love of Jesus to them on a daily basis. Sometimes we get so busy with our schedules during the day that we don’t make the time to fellowship with our loved ones and friends. How would we feel if Jesus didn’t make time for us on a daily basis? Let’s live so that others will never say to us, “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian” Joanne Lowe. September 3, 2005.

King Agrippa, believed the prophets but he couldn’t bring himself to believe that the words of the prophets had come true in his lifetime. Thats the way it is today. Many are almost persuaded to believe in Jesus but because of one thing or another they have decided to wait. Politics, religion, peer pressure are all getting in the way of many that otherwise would be persuaded to join in on the Family of God. I’ve heard from many around the world that are confused by their friends, and religious people that know nothing of the intent of God in the lives of mankind. This world is not what it used to be and never will return back to that place and time that many of us remember. Too much has changed, too much has happened, to ignore the signs of the times. We preach love and compassion but there comes a time that love and compassion will not work. Fear and dread of the destruction of this earth will have to be used.

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Can this happen? It already is happening, there are many that preach the Bible that denigh the Jesus Christ actually exist, some preach God only, some preach Jesus only and others preach what their congregations want to hear to appease man. Not accounting for the salvation of their listeners. We cannot persuade anyone by preaching one above the other, for as with Jude, he states, ”denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Here we see again the separation of the two even thou they are one. We must persuade those that are lost by using the entire Scripture.

Telling the truth and getting by man made doctrine. We have, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost, as was stated by Jesus. How can we denigh this? The plan of salvation come to us in three steps, The Father sacrificing His Son, The Son Sacrificing His Mortal Life and The Holy Ghost leading us into all truths. Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. [1Co_9:19-22.] Mat 19:21-22; Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Almost persuaded, riches became this mans god, his idol, his life, and rather to give heed to the will of God by distributing all that he had to the poor he chose to keep his type of religion and go about his ways. Observing religious practices from his youth up was by no means salvation.

Many get into habits that become second nature to them and become more of a spectacle than worship. If a man is not born again of the spirit he has not attained salvation. If he has no circumcision of the heart there is no change. Religious practices are not what Jesus wanted from this man and neither from us. He wants mankind to worship God in Spirit & Truth. Baptism without repentance is useless. What was this young ruler actually missing? The Love of God over all, he was violating the first two commandments, Mat 22:37-40; Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Isa 1:11-15; To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Again; We must persuade those that are lost by using the entire Scripture.

Bring no more vain oblations, for what kind of sacrifice can you bring before God? There is none that can satisfy Him except the Blood of the Lamb. Persuasion of the lost by the word of God, not choosing what you want and letting the rest go, but using all, showing a pattern of useless situations that God will no longer accept, false religious practices, false religion, false doctrine, false prayers, willing to be heard above the crowd but not meaning any of the words coming from your mouth. We must persuade by example, by acts, by faith, by demonstration of Power of the Holy Ghost. Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Are you almost persuaded or are you still in-doubt, God says come to Him and reason with Him, ask Him any question on salvation, tell Him the reason that you refuse to serve Him and He will answer all your questions.

God is willing to go another step with you if you are willing to listen. All the answers to all the questions are in the Bible. There is nothing covered that will not be shown, nothing hidden that will not be reveled and nothing said that will not be shouted out from the house top. Its all there. Are you listening to your friends, do you believe that everything is one big party, do you believe that you can escape the judgment, or have you listened to Satan telling you that, there is no God, no Heaven, no Hell, no Judgment? Who are you listening too? Seek out your own salvation, seek out the God that has created and can destroy. Don’t die and wake up in Hell saying,”I was Almost persuaded.”

Seven Question To Ask To Find God’s Will

Monday, June 30th, 2008

If you find yourself at a crossroad and you are unsure how you should proceed, these seven questions will help you arrive at an answer.

1. If I make this decision is it consistent with the word of God? Is it right?

In order to answer this question you have to understand the word of God and that can only be achieved by reading and personally studying the bible. If you are not a bible reader then this may be a time to start to discover what God tells you in his word. A good place to find direction in the bible regarding a wide variety of life issues is in the Old Testament book of Proverbs. Proverbs discusses love, sex, marriage, money, business and other areas of life.

2. Is this a wise decision? If I do this, what are the future consequences?

In order to make a good decision, it is often necessary to look into the future and analyze the potential and probable outcomes of our decision-making. Many times we make decisions against our best judgement for immediate pleasure or gratification knowing full well the risks involved. One thing is for sure; if you ask God for his guidance and then do what your spirit tells you not to do, then you cannot blame God if and when it turns out bad. Usually, your initial gut-instinct or “vibe” will prove to be correct, especially when you involve God in your thinking process.

3. Can I honestly ask God to help me do this activity or get this thing I am seeking?

A key element is honestly answering this question… is what you want really a good thing? Would God approve and bless the activity? If not, then do not pursue it. Many times people ignore this advice and realize in the end the activity or thing they desired was not worth the price of time, emotions or dollars paid for it.

4. Do I have genuine peace about this matter?

If your inner self is not at peace, this could be God’s way of telling you the decision is wrong or needs to be reconsidered for alternatives. If you are not at peace with a decision, it often pays dividends to hold off on any decisions until you have time to think about it further. Sometimes waiting is the best response.

5. Does this fit the role of a Christian?

First, does it glorify God? Secondly, does it have the attributes of love, peace, joy and righteousness? Does it help others? Does it build up or does it tear down?

6. Does this fit God’s overall plan for my life? What is God’s plan for my life?

It is important to understand that God’s number one goal for your life is to accept his son, Jesus Christ, as your personal savior. In order to do this you have to believe that Christ came to earth as man, died on the cross for your sins, was resurrected into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. Asking Christ to come into your life and forgive your sins is easy to do! Just ask Jesus to come into your heart, forgive your sins and he will! It’s that easy, no matter what you have done! The key is to mean it, believe it and ask God to help your unbelief …

7. If I make this decision, will it honor God?

Only you can answer that question. The best advice is to pray over your problem and ask for God’s guidance according to his will and then operate within it the best you can. Sometimes it is best to simply “let go and let God” which means to place the issue in his hands and let him determine the outcome(s).

And remember:

God loves you just as you are.

God works all things together for good for those who believe (even if it doesn’t feel good now).

He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Keep the faith!

How Game Shows Can Make Your Life a Success!

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

As our society progresses, we often find ourselves in challenging situations and tough scenarios which often challenge our wits and abilities to the extremes. So what happens if we fail? Depending on individual characters, some may get up and keep going, while others may suffer a heavy blow to their self confidence and slump into depression.

Why does anyone get depressed? Ever felt that time is running out on you and life is passing you by? When a person isn’t engaged in productive activities, he or she may feel stagnant and begin to feel depressed. Inactivity and lack of purpose can result in feelings associated with loss of hope. Life seems to be devoid of any sense of purpose.

So if purpose is what we lack, then how can we turbo charge ourselves with worthy purposes? Even if we found worthy causes to pursue, how can we always be focused in our purpose and goal? Besides loving them, there is a way which we can attain higher focus and involvement in pursuing our goal.

The secret is to live it like a game show. Ever watched the Apprentice? Ever noticed that all the contestants are very pumped up and engaged in their tasks? This is because they are treating their tasks very seriously and are constantly pushing themselves. Irregardless of their achievement level, most of them have pushed their abilities to the max.

Game shows participants have a much higher focused frame of mind. Their eyes are set on the prize and the goals. No room is left for depression or thoughts of failure. Fear factor contestants realize this and we can see many attempted and still continue to negatively influence their competitors with negative thoughts and verbal assaults.

Everyday we need to set our objectives and rewards. Set out to achieve them. It isn’t life or death if we fail, but when attempting the task, we need to put our very best into it. Do not punish yourself if you failed. Learn instead from the experience and equip yourself with the knowledge to start off with a better footing next time.

When you have successfully applied this attitude in your life, you will begin to see that life is meaningful and beautiful. Realize that there are so many beautiful things to be enjoyed in life.

Time Management:The Economics of Life (Part 1)

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

There are different countless kinds of individuals that exist in this world. Some people encounter problems and get rid of them. Some are gotten rid of by their problems. Some even achieve their goals halfway while some do completely. Some also achieve nothing.

There are individuals who do things the right way and some who do things the wrong way. All of these scenarios are based on a common phenomenon which is TIME. Time is considered as the most valuable asset in life. In fact, time is life. This is because time can never be reversed.

What actually makes some people achieve than others is their ability to properly invest in their time. Such people dedicate themselves to something which makes them progress. Economics literarily is about the management of scarce resources to satisfy wants and needs.

As time is the most important resource humans have, it is therefore important to economize that finite 24hrs we have everyday. This is done through effective TIME MANAGEMENT.

Some folks might tell you that only people with hectic schedules like business people or executives need time management skills. But i must tell you that anyone belonging to any category or group needs time management. The simple truth is this; everyone is being given equal time. No one has more than 24 hours in a day. What differentiates people is how efficient they maximize their time.

When I hear people say there’s no time, I laugh and ask myself where they dumped their time. Your time cannot run away unless you set it free! There are different things that take our time away. Some are important and some are less important. For instance, while working on a project, a friend called you on the phone and you went ahead to receive the call. Then you talked for a long time. As a result, you fail to complete the project within the allotted time. You can practically see that no one actually forced you to receive the call. You could have probably received a voicemail, if you wanted.

You might give excuses based on sentiments, but the truth is that you’re the one who received the call and are solely responsible for the wasted time, not the friend who called. Therefore, you must look at time management from a practical and realistic angle. You can see from the practical example given that no one steals your time. You’re the one who set your time free. Time is just like a slave longing for freedom. If you want it to work for you, it will. But if you don’t take proper care, it could escape.

Opportunity is what actually leads to success, if used properly. Even if it’s not acquired, it could be developed. It is the pathway to success if followed rightly. But the effective utilization of this pathway to success depends mainly on time. How can you then make effective use of your opportunities through time management? It could be achieved through attitude adjustment. There are some characteristic attitudes every beneficiary of time management needs to have. They include:

1 Self-discipline
2 Overcoming procrastination
3 Overcoming rejection/defeat
4 Focus
5 Delegation
6 Planning
7 Goal setting

Faith in Scientific Observation and Inquiry Verses Faith in Out-Dated Dogma

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

It is an unfortunate fact of life that in any area of incomplete
or frontier knowledge there has to be so much folklore and
fantasy that it gets very difficult for the honest truth seeker to
set fact apart from fiction.

Even one of the best spiritual movements I have known
make it very hard to allow further advances in scientific
knowledge and observation by strongly advising its
members not to reveal or share their meditation
experiences or even state whether or not they have any
experiences to begin with. In most religions there is always
some way of life or routine, etc. to follow along with the
faithful observance of a powerful belief system that one
must not deviate from ever and never question. Knowing
how easily truth can be distorted by one’s beliefs,
prejudices, etc. how then is one to ever find the real truth?

Another tendency among religious groups is their
overwhelming reliance on faith, dogma and old, worn-out
material written centuries ago. There is nothing wrong with
all the ancient values and traditions, such as the 10
Commandments, of course. They are beautiful and sorely
needed by all to help everyone lead a happy, wholesome
and harmonious life. There is, however, a strong
complacency among most people to just want to accept
things as they are and not do a thing to further develop,
improve, and advance or transform the old knowledge with
newly discovered and contemporary truths. It is as if the
human mind has an overwhelming tendency to become
frozen solid instead of flowing freely forward into exciting
new discoveries and frontiers of ever greater contact with
God (everlasting love, joy and beauty).

Did the 15th Century German astronomer, Johannes Kepler
discover the principles of modern optics entirely through
blind belief and total acceptance of old dogma? Did Galileo
Galilei discover the moons of Jupiter through faith in God
alone? It is true that he needed his faith to gave him the
enthusiasm and courage to discover such things as the
moons of Jupiter in the face of serious threats from the
Inquisition. But without the unbiased and objective
scientifically guided research for truth, and enthusiasm for
ever new knowledge, there would never have been any
forward advances, no progress, and certainly no ascent of
man to higher levels of living.

Do you know that there is a whole universe lurking behind
closed eyes to be discovered, charted and mapped? The
scientist who would attempt to chart these timeless
(causeless) dimensions needs to be a special breed of
human being indeed. First off, any limiting religious,
materialistic or atheistic prejudice needs to be completely
removed. How can one look for something if there is an
overwhelming prejudice about what there is to be found
and/or whether or not there is something there to discover
in the first place? Faith that there is something worth looking
for is indeed needed, but never the kind of complacent,
static acceptance of some ancient and worn-out dogma, but
rather the healthy, open-minded faith that there is definitely
something there worth the trouble to explore in the first
place, and most importantly, that there could be faster,
much more efficient ways to get there! Real growth comes
through expansion of knowledge of one’s true nature as a
child of the Creation, God or of the great Father/Mother
Oneness. Is one just to get lost in the quagmire of yet
another belief system or to gain greater oneness (freedom)
with the ultimate Truth?

I personally feel there is definitely life after death. After all, I
have experienced it at least a couple of times! Then it may
be safe for me to believe in a heaven of some sort, but not to
become a religious fanatic who takes for granted that
everything written in this scripture or in that scripture about
heaven is 100% reliable truth. Our brains and minds need
to be more flexible, more inquiring and more sensitive to
what is omitted so that more can be contributed, added to
and improved upon as more and more vital observations
come in. Where would most of these observations come
from? Near-death experiences, from contemporary yogis
deep in meditation, from highly skilled and reliable astral
projectionists and from spiritual mediums who are
accurate, reputable and verifiable.

Whatever is not scientifically reliable should be thrown out,
and all that which is proof positive should be made the new
knowledge, forever subject to further improvement along the
way. We should be trying to create a picture of the inner
universe, that naturally starts out blurred and confusing, and
full of contradictions. In time, this huge picture is to become
more and more clear, concise and detailed, rather like how
the robots on Mars bring in ever more focused, clear and
detailed images of that awesome extraterrestrial
wilderness. Scientists are doing well there, but still have a
long way to go in exploring, mapping and correctly analyzing
the inner realms because of their overwhelming tendency to
dismiss such notions as fictional or as old religious
nonsense. Such prejudices can be fatal to further human
advance in a most desperately needed field of study.

Another thing, there are so many people who say that
heaven cannot be found through objective scientific
analysis. The function of the left brain is to analyze and
figure things out through the five physical senses, thus
making this form of objective analysis impossible as far as
exploration of one’s inner soul is concerned. Only through
direct experience in this area is there any hope of obtaining
reliable and objective knowledge! One may never be able to
objectively “map” the true nature of the soul, but that is still a
very poor excuse for science to just give up and stop here.
On the contrary, it should take up the challenge and at least
attempt to map the way to heaven in researching safe
means of suspending metabolism so that if enough people
could safely go back and forth between the physical and
spiritual worlds, it would become much easier to find out so
much more about these mysterious states of
consciousness that seem so radically different from life in
the physical body. Once it is routine to do this type of
exploration, I am sure knowledge of this previously unknown
field could expand exponentially. No longer would one have
to depend on out-dated religious ideas and sketchy
concepts. There would be no more second guessing what
happens to the soul after one dies.

What could be found? It is highly likely that amazing new
forms of communication, unlimited travel and incredible
knowledge can be obtained along with powerful states of
intense joy, love and profound well-being while unraveling
the deepest mysteries of life. All the gold, silver and
diamonds in the universe may have very little meaning in
comparison to what can be discovered deep inside the
ethereal universes of one’s true Self or Soul.

What Is Stress?

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Everyone hears about it. It’s talked about on the news, talk shows, at work, etc. But, what is it? How is it defined? What are the signs of stress? Do you have it?

You may be thinking that this is all common knowledge, but you may be surprised to learn that “stress” is not something that is easily defined.

“Stress” is a natural condition that we humans have - you know, it is the “fight and flight” syndrome - your body immediately gears up with various hormones, etc. to help you deal with the perceived danger that you are encountering at the time. Of course, you are not confronting a saber-tooth tiger or dinosaur, but you do encounter stress everyday. Watching ten minutes of the daily news, for instance, can cause stress.

The fact is though; you must have some stress in your life. It revives up your adrenalin and excitement that makes life interesting. Unfortunately, too much of a good thing is not healthy - seems to be a universal law here.

Currently, there is a lot of research suggesting that too much stress can do your body harm. Although stress may not be directly related to high blood pressure, for instance, it certainly does cause weight gain, heart disease, diabetes and other illnesses that are directly related to high blood pressure. Kind of the chicken and the egg question, what came first? And remember, high blood pressure is called the “silent killer” for a reason.

Stress for you may not be the same for me. Genetically we each have our own stress factors - hot-wired so to speak. You may not get “worked up” over having to work late one night while someone else may become highly agitated or “stressed” over it.

Causes of stress are varied and may be caused by physical or emotional change. Change - in your environment, relationships, work, etc.

Some signs that you are stressed are:

Physical signs: Headache, ringing in the ears, tiredness, exhaustion, weight gain or loss, difficulty sleeping, dizziness

Mental signs: Forgetfulness, inability to concentrate, lack of creativity, poor memory, constant worry

Emotional signs: Anger, anxiety, crying, sadness, loneliness, negative thinking

You can take control of your stress levels by “slowing” down. Sounds too simple doesn’t it? But just stop and think for a moment. It was not that long ago when we did not have cell phones, e-mails, beepers, faxes, etc. to keep pushing us to move faster, do more, hurry, hurry…. And we actually walked to the store!
So, how do you combat this thing called stress?

Learning how to relax probably could save your life - in more ways than one. The old saying “stop and smell the flowers” is not that far off. Our bodies need time to repair itself and taking time to rest and relax can do wonders not only for you physically but mentally as well.

It seems that we have the lost the art of relaxing - you know, no cell phones, t.v., radio, mp3 player, etc. etc. You know, actually sleeping in one morning a week!

A fifteen minute walk, three or four times a week, can do wonders to help relieve the daily stressors of life. The amazing thing is that you don’t have to spend any money, drive anywhere or need any special equipment, and it can be done at anytime! (Sorry, but there really are no excuses here - even if the weather is bad, you still can walk around in your house for 15 minutes - boring, yes, but it gets the job done.)

Lack of sleep is another factor. In our fast paced, hectic lives and schedules, we need to make time for more sleep - yes, 8 - 9 hours a night. If you cannot sleep that long all at once, try taking a nap in the afternoon. Your body will thank you and your mind too, it needs rest from all that worrying.

Having regular physicals and blood pressure readings will help you keep a handle on your blood pressure and other health related illnesses.

So, learn what your stressors are and learn how to cope with them before you develop high blood pressure – which can develop into hearth disease, which can…….

10 Smart Ways Leaders Can Bring Out the Best in Others

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

You are a leader. Everyone is a leader. It doesn’t matter if your title is Chairman of the Board or 3rd Assistant to the Supply Room Manager, you lead every time you influence others to do what you want. It’s a skill that starts at birth (doesn’t a newborn baby run her house?). As a smart adult, you have refined your natural leadership skills in order to influence others to willingly do what you want.

Here is a list of 10 smart ways leaders can bring out the best in others. See how well developed your leadership skills are. Give yourself 1 point for each that you already do.

1. Instead of saying you care, show them.

2. Have a vision and inspire people by staying true to your vision.

3. Be passionate when talking about your vision.

4. Clearly communicate to others how you expect them to fulfill that vision.

5. Listen to their concerns.

6. Communicate how following your vision benefits them.

7. Surround yourself with people who are “wind beneath your wings” and, as best you can, eliminate or minimize contact with people who bring you down.

8. Delegate tasks that help others discover and maximize their talents.

9. Show appreciation — a sincere, written “thank you” can be a major (and no cost) motivator.

10. Keep your word.

I hope you’re a perfect 10. Practicing these 10 smart ways leaders can bring out the best in others will encourage people to do what you want and cause them to remark that you are a natural-born leader.

How To Use The Law of Attraction To Prevent Failure

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

When you decide to do something, one thing comes up immediately. It is the expectation of the result from your actions. There are only two alternatives here. It is either you get the result you want or you fail to get it. The law of attraction has been known for years for being one of the secrets to success in life. This article is about how to use law of attraction to prevent failure in your life.

The Law of attraction states that you can attract good things into your life by your good thinking. It can be other way around with bad things and bad thinking. To make use of the law of attraction is to think correctly. The following steps are to train your mind to think systematically. This is one of the ways to use the law of attraction. Then we go into the actions of planning and implementing. We then exercise the law by visualization. The steps to prevent failure include:

1. Change the definition of failure.

Before we go further on how to prevent failure, we should first go to the definition of failure. Longman dictionary gives to definitions of failure as the lack of Success, things that fail, non-performance or non-production of something, inability of a business to continue.

These definitions are somehow easy to understand as standard definition. This is why most people are afraid of failure. Failure is viewed as intimidated force to destroy our confidence. A lot of people have so much fear of failure that they dare not to set up their goals or try anything new. We need to change that. We need to understand that success and failure come together. All successful people understand this. They do not fear of failure. Failure is the stepping stones to success. You can have many stepping stones. You need to treat failure as one of the element to succeed. Every time you meet failure, just tell yourself that you are one step closer to your success.

2. Determine that you are going to succeed.

Having the right mindset on your determination is another key factor. You need to decide that you want the result no matter what. You have to determine the price you need to pay before you make the decision. Once you are sure, go for it. You need to go all the way until you succeed. In order to be able to do that, you need to have a firm commitment to yourself. You need to determine that you are going to succeed and you are ready to do what it takes.

3. Be clear on your goals.

You need to know exactly what you want in your actions. What are your goals and why you want them? What are the benefits of achieving your goals? What will happen if you don’t achieve them? All these questions need to be answered before you start. Most people are not clear on what they want because they have not made the decision. This is why the majority of the people in the society do not succeed in fully utilizing their capacity. You don’t have to be one of them. Once you are clear on your goal, you can proceed without any equivocal hesitation on your mind.

4. Set up your plan. Break down your plan into small plan.

You need to have the action plan in your steps. Make the big picture plan and break it down into small plans. The small plans are for seeing your progress and you can celebrate when you achieve these small goals. Planning is essential to your action so do not neglect it.

5. Take massive actions and evaluate them along the way.

You can not succeed without doing something. You need to take actions. You need to take more of the right actions in order to enjoy more fruitful results. In addition, you need to evaluate yourself along the way. You need to see if there anything to be improved. Is your current approach is correct? Are you on the right track? All these evaluations will help you to align your actions until you get to your goals.

6. Visualize your way to succeed.

Visualization is the most effective way to use the law of attraction. It will stimulate your subconscious mind. The mind will attract all circumstances and attributes favorable to what you visualized. You can do it by visualizing that you are getting what you want as if it is happening in front of you. You can feel it and have that feeling penetrate into your mind. You can use background audio to enhance your visualization power. There are many in the market and Attraction Accelerator can be one of your choices.

The law of attraction can be used to prevent the failure to happen in your life. This article talks about the steps to fully utilize the law.
