Dream, Plan, Action!

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Ok, so you have started a business and you are all fired up and ready to go! You have read all about the business, learned all the proper procedures, written out your goals and and all the plans that you have to build your business. So, why aren’t you getting anywhere?

You become frustrated and start thinking that the company is a scam because you have been in for a month and haven’t made any profits or gotten any recruits! But why are you REALLY not getting anywhere? Could it possibly be that you have taken every step you should except for the actual actions?

So many times you see people go full force into a business and they somehow believe that the business will grow and prosper just because they have put their mindset where it should be focused…..on success. However, they haven’t taken any physical action to make those goals happen.

While there may actually be telepathic people out there who can read your mind, it is highly unlikely that many of them will be beating your door in to join your team! I know you have heard the saying that “actions speak louder than words”. They also speak louder than goals written on a piece of paper!

So what exactly is holding you back? Fear? The only way to get out of that fear is to take steps to face it. That will be a lot easier to do if you realize that the “no’s” that you receive is not a personal reflection on you. It simply means that they are not interested in what you are offering. And it may not even be a permanent “no”. It may simply mean “not right now”. Some of these “no’s” may actually call you later and ask for more details.

What else is your “ball and chain”? Time? Maybe you work a full time job and have small children at home. Picture this concept: If you keep doing exactly what you are doing right now for the next 10 years, then 10 years from now, you will still be exactly where you are today. Is this your goal?

You say you want a change. That is great! But the only way that a change will take affect is through a different “ACTION”. You can’t set a goal and say you want something and expect to reach that goal without the action required to get you there.

So get up, grab your list of goals and take action! People who think they have no time at all to build their own business are the people who are desperately in need of it! If you put in a few extra hours now, you will have years of extra time in the future to do the things you WANT to do instead of what someone tells you that you “MUST” do!

5 Success Lessons From Formula One

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

The era of Michael Schumacher, the seven times world champion of Formula One racing finally came to an end in Brazil on Sunday 22nd Oct 2006. He is regarded as one of the most successful drivers of all time. What are the secrets of his success?

Perhaps the main secret is his ability to prioritize. He decides on his main goal in life and then pursues it with enormous commitment.

On Sunday, 10th September 2006, I left my house for a walk just as the Formula One race at Monza, the home circuit of Ferrari, was beginning. Schumacher was one of the favorites to win. I wanted to watch the race but my priority was exercise.

As expected, Michael won the race and then announced his retirement from Formula One. One probable reason for his retirement is that he feels that he cannot give his racing career the time and effort it demands.

His priority may now be his family and other key aspects of his life. He owns several houses in pleasant locations and will be able to give his family a rich and varied life. His annual income of about 30 million dollars should mean that he will never need to work again.

He has made motor racing his priority for the last thirty years and Formula One has been his priority for the last fifteen years. This must be one of the main reasons for his success. A Jack of all trades is master of none.

Jenson Button, a thoughtful British driver, believes that Schumacher is as good as ever, but thinks that he has reached a point in his life when racing cars is no longer a priority:

“I don’t think he is on the wane. There comes a time when you need more in your life. Formula One can’t be your whole life.”

Another secret of Michael Schumacher’s success is his fitness. Racing drivers need to be very, very fit. Michael is so fit that he can finish a race without breaking sweat.

I saw him recently on TV working out on a kicking bag. His flexibility allowed him to kick high and hard. He also uses weights in his workouts.

After he broke his leg badly at the British Grand Prix in 1999, he worked very hard to return to fitness. He came back fitter and stronger.

“His level of fitness is incredible,” says Ross Brawn, his strategist.

Murray Walker, the great commentator, pinpointed a third secret to his success as being his ‘massive application’ to every aspect of his craft. Working hard at their skills and knowledge can make anyone into a very valuable and well-paid person.

Murray believes Michael helped turn Ferrari round:

“When Michael joined Ferrari, they were a struggling team but then Michael and Ferrari began one of the most impressive comebacks in Formula One history. But it would be hard work.”

Button commented on this aspect:

“Michael is one of the first to really work in every area you could think of - in training and pushing his team as hard as he could. He spent night and day trying to improve the car.”

Ross Brawn, Michael’s strategist, agreed:

“His application was at a different level to anyone prior to him both inside the car and outside the car.”

Michael believes in teamwork and his first action after his triumphant win at Monza was to walk over to his mechanics and other team members to give them a hug and words of appreciation.

Brawn comments: “He took his involvement with the team and his work with the engineers to a new level. It is not unusual for him to be here to 10 or 11 on Saturday night.”

Eddie Jordan agrees: “Very few people that I have ever come across spend as much time as he does making sure that his car is as perfect as it can be.”

A Formula One driver cannot be a champion without a great car and a great team of people to service and maintain it. He also needs the help of expert strategists like Ross Brawn, the master mind behind many of his victories.

There were tears in the Ferrari garage as they contemplated the end of Schumacher’s racing career but not every one in motor sport was tearful. As you might expect, the rivals of Ferrari were not shedding any tears at his departure!

The head of the Renault opposition - Flavio Briatore - was asked how much he would miss Schumacher. His reply was brief and to the point:

“I won’t miss him at all!”

Recently, on a website dedicated to persuading Schumacher to stay, a dissenting voice managed to escape the censors:

“Go now, and take that useless brother with you.”

Some of his fellow drivers felt that his desire to win sometimes took him over the edge of fairness. Brawn admits that but feels that being willing to go over the edge is what makes him a world champion.

Schumacher has several enemies but few can deny his talent and, possibly, genius. Martin Brundle was his racing team mate for several years:

“I am in awe of his driving skill He still has his speed and fitness but it is better to stop a year too early than a year too late. He is a good all rounder and one of the greats of all time.”

What lessons can we learn from Michael Schumacher’s Formula One career?

Decide on your priorities and stick to them until you succeed and feel ready to move on to other things.

Work very hard at developing all the skills, including fitness, which are necessary to achieve excellence in your chosen career. It helps if you choose a career you have talent for. Sometimes, however, hard work can create talent where it did not appear to exist before. It can even turn talent into genius.

Recognize the importance of teamwork and show your appreciation of the people that support you in your career.

Ignore the comments and lack of respect shown you by rivals or enemies and, if you can’t ignore them, at least don’t let them discourage you from pursuing your chosen course.

Retire when you are at the top of your game.

According to the record books, Michael is the greatest driver of all time in Formula One. However, some feel that the controversial incidents in his career place him below the great Ayrton Senna who died in 1994 at the San Marino Grand Prix.

Maybe a new, younger driver like Alonso or Jensen Button will overtake them both

Learn God’s Purpose For Your Life In Less Than a Minute!

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15. See, that didn’t take very long did it? Easier said than done, you may say. But God has provided every single Christian a way to bring others to Him. It is so easy and so enjoyable that most of us have overlooked this wonderful way to bring others to Christ.

In the opening scripture above, Jesus did not say that the whole world should go to church; He said the church should go into the whole world. But the internet provides opportunity to do both –to go into the world and bring them to church. The Internet is the new missions field of the 21st century, and we all have the potential to serve as cyber-evangelists.

Let me introduce you to the “Bridge Strategy”. Thousands of Christians are discovering “Bridge Sites”. There are so many great sites that can be linked to and utilized allowing us to build sites (even if we have little knowledge and communication skills), to minister to the world and also to bring the lost into our churches.

The Lord has blessed us with great technology via the internet. But the church has failed to grow with time, content to recruit new members as our great grandfathers did.

The church has lost more members in the last 10 years than in the rest of the century. The church of America is not speaking the language of our current generation and is desperately struggling to become culturally relevant.

Does this mean that the gospel is to be watered down into a comfortable fluffy package that favors entertainment? On the contrary, it allows us to take the very foundations of our faith and empower the church to communicate more efficiently with each other through a means that our generation can and will identify with. God is leading us into the twenty-first century, and we must learn how to adapt our ministry to a changing culture.

Most unchurched people prefer not to be approached by Christians that appear to be too preachy or too churchy. But we can build bridges that aren’t intimidating to them and will gently bring them into a friendly relationship with us. Once friendships are made both parties feel less pressure.

All online non-Christians are searching for websites on needs they have, and topics that interest them.
Therefore to reach non-Christians, we must create websites around the topics and felt needs that they have.

God has given all Christians gifts that can be used as bridges to bring others to church first and then to Christ. We receive those gifts in several ways.

If you have a hobby or sport, you share that interest with millions of others. The unchurched are looking for information for example, gardening, that you can share a common interest with. This provides a way to bring them gently to you. And at the local level you can organize regular meetings to exchange ideas. These meetings can be held at your church activity building. This allows you and other church members in your group to grow great personal friendships with them. It is much easier to ask a friend to church than to ask a stranger. And you would be having the time of your life.

Do you have a professional interest? Invite others to help you explore a relatively new online technology. Research something specific. Develop an expertise in a particular area. This is a wide-open field. The potential is mind-blowing.

If you have come through a difficult personal problem or illness, you can be sure that is a felt need for millions of others.

Here is an example of a bridge site that was developed by four women in a church that had experienced abortions. They had received forgiveness and found victory over their guilt. After their victory the burden was transformed to a gift from God that provided them an opportunity to build a bridge to bring others to their church and to Christ.

Note: They placed this classified in their local newspaper each week, “I had an abortion. . . Do you need help? shareyourpain.com”

Following is the introduction on their home page.

Please Share Your Pain With Me
Regardless of what spiritual path you follow – or even if you are not “spiritual”
at all – we want you to know that we accept you. Everyone is welcome at
shareyourpain.com. Although we may disagree on spiritual issues, we are not
here to “convert” you. We believe that it is God who changes hearts, not people.
Our main goal is to love you, accept you and help you if you are hurting. We
can’t help you if you won’t allow us to. We invite you to stay whether or not you
agree with us spiritually. Regardless of your spiritual beliefs, we have been hurt
by abortion just like you. If that is all we have in common, it is enough.

The web site offered links to several professional counseling sites. Articles of
encouragement were posted weekly, and readers were invited to join a support
group at their local Church. Comments are posted by members to the site with their own tragic stories.

CAUTION: In-Church “Felt Need Ministries” such as this should require mature Christian leadership, professional volunteers if possible and Pastor approval.

Regardless of how we received these gifts from God, we are commanded to use them for God’s purpose. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15.

Bridge Sites typically bring 50-100 new members to a church each year.

Use A Wake-Up Ritual To Cope With The Death Of Your Loved One

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

The death of someone loved often causes major changes in the way we deal with life. And, a proven way to manage change is through the use of rituals. One major function of ritual, among others, is to provide a means of combating the disorganization and sense of helplessness that pervades the grief experience.

In this vein, how you start each day when you are mourning is indeed very important in terms of how the rest of the day unfolds. Few mourners consider instituting an informal ritual at the beginning of the day. Yet, it could help you integrate your great loss into life. Will you begin the day in immediate deep sadness, or will you choose a wake-up ritual to help you cope with the loss of your loved one?

You especially need a wake-up ritual if you awaken each day, and on looking at the beautiful picture of your loved one on the night table or dresser, it immediately plunges you into sadness and despair. You can prevent this from adding unnecessary suffering to your mourning. Temporarily place the photo in another room and adopt one of these six wake-up rituals that mourners have told me they use.

1. Start with a reading from a daily inspirational guide. These small books can be purchased at bookstores or from organizations that can be searched for on the Internet. If so inclined, you may want to start with a reading from a book of poems or a religious text. Meditate on what you have read and attempt to put it into action that day.

2. Start with your own personal affirmation. One person I know uses “One day at a time.” She tells herself, “I’m going to take this day as it comes.” Or you may want to repeat, “I am getting through this day” or “I am capable of getting through this difficult time.” Put great emphasis on the “I am.” What you say out loud or silently to yourself can have a powerful effect on your behavior. Start repeating your affirmation as soon as you awaken.

3. Start with a prayer. Many people drop to their knees and start the day with a prayer. Talk to God, your loved one, the Universe, a saint, or whoever you feel is appropriate. Share what you need and ask for the wisdom to make the right choices that day in dealing with your loss and the people you meet. Pause for a moment after praying and listen. See what pops into your mind as you listen for advice.

4. Start with a walk every morning. Some mourners take a ritualistic walk each morning counting steps, prayerwalking, or playing music on an ipod. For most, it is a great release of feelings and is invigorating.

5. Start by heading for the shower and talk positively to yourself when showering. Use your own creative affirmations. Some mourners sing their favorite hymns as they shower and find strength in the words they sing. Through trial and error find out what works best for you.

6. Start by consulting your schedule for the day. At night before you retire, make a plan for each hour (yes, each hour) of the next day. Where you will go, who you will plan on seeing, and what you will try to accomplish. Put the list on your night table. As soon as you arise, start focusing on the first thing on your list. See yourself doing the task or meeting the person and what you will say. Play all the details out in your mind’s eye.

Regardless of what ritual you choose to begin the day with, be sure to form the intention within that you are beginning a new ritual in your life that will help you cope with your loss. Believe it will give you structure and breed confidence early in the day. Your intent, and the belief in one of these alternatives to starting the day in pain, is an essential part of using your ritual. Beliefs affect everything you do every day. Intent will fuel those beliefs.

Definition of Stress Management

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Understanding the core factors in producing stress takes you closer to eliminating it. But since the most common conception of stress takes into account something we all know, then the definition of stress management should be obvious – except that it isn’t.

We define it as our conscious knowledge of things that effect stress and the methods to divest stress harmlessly out of our body system. It is also a set of techniques that professionals do to help us in coping with various kinds of stress. Furthermore, we can also say that it is an equipping of knowledge, a conditioning, or a change of a lifestyle that allows only the most minimum instances where stress can actually set in.

Before we start, what is stress? Stress is a nervous system reaction of your body towards certain stimulus. This nervous system reaction could be easily viewed as an unconscious preparation of the body for a certain activity, like for instance releasing adrenaline chemicals onto your muscles whenever you feel alarmed, for example triggering auto response duck and adrenaline rush quickness on the muscles as you hear and process a gunfire shot; or else shutting down some of your pain receptors while you’re in a fight.

The problem with stress response is that it also triggers psychologically. Anxiety of approaching deadlines, nervousness over the outcome of a completing project, surmounting unpaid bills, or the nervous anticipation of any event, any situation that’s going to happen in the near future may trigger stress response. Over time, these repeated stress experiences can severely deplete energy which could be used for other health functions like digesting meals, functioning body defense system, and such.

Returning on track, the definition of stress management is a system that is aimed to reduce stress and/or facilitate the person to cope with these instances. Because stress falls into a complex assortment of emotions and sources of them are even more profuse, the definition of stress management has become so broad, but all of them are aimed to relieve stress and divert these energies elsewhere harmless, and sometimes, even productive. All in all, the definition of stress management falls into three categories: action oriented stress management, emotionally oriented stress management, and acceptance oriented stress management.

Rejuvenation Is Your Purpose

To Rejuvenate yourself is to rejuvenate your Soul.
To Rejuvenate yourself is to let go of the pretense and to speak the truth.
To Rejuvenate yourself is to be one with who you are.
To Rejuvenate yourself is to be happy with what you are.
To Rejuvenate yourself is to confront the issues at hand.

To be or Not to be? To Rejuvenate to be, for why Not be?

The Poet in you is Rejuvenating you moment by moment as to how to live life.
For to live in the Now is to Rejuvenate your mind, body and your Soul.

To Rejuvenate is to Re-organize your life.
To Rejuvenate is to Re-charge your inner being.
To Rejuvenate is to pass along the path of the truth and live it.
To Rejuvenate is to cleanse inside and out.
To Rejuvenate is to bury the facade and live in the light.
To Rejuvenate is to harass the unwanted to disappear, to start a new.

Oh, How wonderful it is to re-start from the Now.

To Rejuvenate in the how’s of life and to go deep within.
To Rejuvenate is the colors of life, each moment to the breath of life itself.

To call the breath of life to create this magnificent position of recreation within and without.

I call upon the breath of life to Restart and go forth with faith and trust. Allowing the light within to dissolve any and all darkness and to transmute the old into new. To allow a Re-birth of whatever sorts you would like to experience is your choice. To go forth and know the Power is within you.

Definition of Self Esteem

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Self Esteem can cut across a wide variety of things and concepts. It occurs in every facet of life. It is the force behind most success and failure, the force behind peak performance, successful achievement, living your dream – living your world! Self Esteem is the feeling of being happy with your character and abilities. It is manifested in a wonderful feeling of inner balance, grounded on self acceptance and a healthy, comforting self-respect towards you. This is entirely different from self confidence which is deeply rooted in what you believe you can achieve. There are several cases of self confidence acts without Self Esteem.

High Self Esteem is knowing who we are and living in harmony with ourselves without needing to have the approval of others. Really, other people’s opinion about yourself does not have to be your reality. The definition of Self Esteem is that of a life of happiness, of sound mind, of health.

When we are happy about ourselves, not caring about what people say about us, we live a happier life, a healthier one, a more successful one - Best of all, we live in peak performance. Happier lifestyle comes from within, it enables happy and relaxed cells, and it controls stress. Happy cells lead to a prolonged life expectancy which means extended period to lead a even happier life! What a great attribute if you can only come to terms with who we are, regardless of whatever any man says of you.

Remember, the life’s too short to live other people’s life and world. Live yours! It will take courage though, but it’s worth living. It’s the best.

Taking the Reigns of Leadership as an Employee

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

If you are an employer, you are most likely well aware of the adverse effect on the bottom line that employee turnover can have.

After all, you have spent a lot of money finding the employee, interviewing her or him, training the new member of the staff, and all of this money is lost when the employee decides to find work elsewhere.

Granted, sometimes this decision cannot be helped, especially when the job and the employee are not a good fit, or if the needs of the company or of the employee suddenly change. Yet many a time this kind of employee turnover can be prevented with a bit of planning and foresight.

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect a worker experiences is the lack of opportunity to take on leadership as an employee.

The pride of seeing a job well done does not only rest with management or the business’ owner, but it also is experienced by the individual worker who wants to see that her or his contribution to the job matters.

Such leadership – especially when initiated by the employee – is often viewed suspiciously by the immediate supervisor who might be worrying about her or his job security.

Additionally, those supervisors who have never learned to properly delegate tasks will keep qualified workers from exercising leadership as an employee, simply relegating them to do but a small aspect of the work, without having the ultimate satisfaction of being an acknowledged part of the success story of the business.

Thus, if you wish to retain your employees – and ultimately to preserve your bottom line – it is wise to work with your employees to enable those who express talent, interest, and initiative to indeed take on the reigns of leadership while still remaining in their position within the management structure of your business.

While there are several methods of identifying such employees, perhaps the easiest are the employee talent questionnaire which seeks to identify the likes and dislikes of the individual employee with respect to the different aspects of the job she or he is currently performing.

The downfall of this exercise is the fact that some employees might be fearful to answer truthfully. A better method may be the questionnaire that only asks one or two questions, namely “what – if anything – would you like to see different about your position” and “what – if anything – would you like to improve about your position.”

Answers to these questions will permit the employee to be forthcoming and even take on leadership by sharing innovative ideas, which in turn may greatly benefit the company. As an employer, you can see just how beneficial it is to give the reigns of leadership to an employee!

Why Many People Fail to Succeed

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

You are never a failure until you accept defeat as permanent and quit trying. Everyone faces defeat. It may be a stepping-stone or a stumbling block, depending on the mental attitude with which it is faced.

Very rarely do we find home business entrepreneurs succeed at their first attempt. one has to learn through the school of hard knocks, before one can emerge as a champion of success.

While failure forms the foundation for the building of success, we can shorten the route to our success by learning from the mistakes of other people. A smart person does not make the same mistake twice. A smarter person will learn from the mistakes of others!

Let us examine why most people fail in their work at home business

1. Selecting the right Business

We reap what we sow. We need to find fertile land before we sow the seed of our efforts, but once we have found an opportunity that suits us, we should not uproot the seed and keep planting from one field to another. The investment of our efforts takes time to set root and give the fruits that we desire.

It is important to research the right opportunity before we commit ourselves. Many people realise all too late that the business they have got involved with is not the ideal marriage partner, but they try stick it out anyway, only to find that a divorce is inevitable down the roa ! That is why one has to exercise due diligence before selecting a work at home business, fortunately, its not as difficult as selecting a marriage partner!

If you are with a stable business that has been around for over three years, has a good compensation plan and growing membership, you should be fine.

2. Attitude

People who fail in a work at home business usually tend to have the wrong attitude. They expect to build a business without putting in the required effort. Attitude is everything. We are what we think we are. The power of positive thinking is what breeds success. Nothing is Impossible unless you think it is. The habitual inclination of your thoughts determines your talents and your personality. If you find yourself dwelling on negative thoughts, you need to think them away by replacing them with positive constructive thoughts. Success comes to people with a win win attitude, who see the opportunity in every problem.

3. Persistence

Most people give up too early. People can enter and exit a home business as and when they like because online business programs are easy to join, and most of them require no upfront investment. If you are only kicking the tires, testing the waters, then it is fine to move on if you do not feel suited to a particular business. But once you commit yourself, you should act like you have invested thousands of dollars in your business and treat your business that way. It may take a few months to even a couple of years but if you persist with the right business opportunity, you cannot fail.

Other Factors that leads to failure may be

- Wrong or misleading information

- Lack of Clear Directions

- Lack of Support from uppline

- Lack of money to invest in your business

- Lack of technical knowledge to build and manage your website

- Lack of time to run your business

- Products are not selling

- Fear of Rejection

But know this, all these are secondary reasons, or rather excuses for failure. With the right attitude and persistence, all of these factors can be easily overcome. Examine any person who has failed in an online business and you will find that either they were with the wrong company, or had the wrong attitude or lacked persistence.

Now that you know the exact recipe for failure, you should be able to create your success. The right business worked with a positive attitude will eventually lead to success when there is persistence.

Remember that failures are only stepping stones to success, if you fall a few times, just get up, dust yourself, and be on your way. When a child is learning to walk it will have to fall few times,

Women of the World–Relax–The Apostle Paul was WRONG

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

The following facts are not ones in which your husband, your fundamentalist pastor, nor your literalist Church will rejoice in. In fact, they may ask you to quietly leave if you are going to believe this rather than the inspired, inerrant and historically accurate “word of God.”

“The primordial plan for both female and male fetuses in mammals is initially feminine.

Contrary to some creation myths, in mammals, maleness arises from femaleness, not the other way round.

Masculinisation results from organisational effects of fetal testosterone (and its derivatives), which in humans occurs during the second trimester of pregnancy.

To be masculinised means that certain areas of the brain grow larger, while others remain smaller.

These differences to some extend explain sexual behaviours and preferences even in humans”

Dr. Alexander Thiele University of Newcastle upon Tyne Lecture 7: Social emotions –‘the sexual brain’

In reality it seems that FEMALE is the default position as human beings develope in the womb. Maleness comes after with the proper wash of hormones applied at just the right time and in just the right amounts. The implications for literalists are staggering and for women, liberating!

In some cultures, young men are taught to pray “Blessed Art Thou O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has not made me a woman.” Mohammed is said to have stated, “When Eve was created, Satan rejoiced.” Much if all of the orignal creation mythology’s sole purpose is to depose any notion of “goddess” worship, which was an absolute fascination that women had the power to give birth and bring forth life etc, and replace it with a male patriarchy. The Genesis story is not so much how life came to be or that we all came from two humans, named Adam and Eve, as it is to send the message that women, who are the fault of everything, are to have babies painfully now and say “yes Lord” to their husbands. From the totally mythological tale of the fall of man by the disobedience of woman, much misery and ridicuoulously false roles have been demanded of them by men and in particular the Christian church.

“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. FOR (the reason being) Adam was first formed and then Eve and Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, was in the transgression.” I Tim. 2:11-14

So according to Paul, the literal truth of Eve’s sin produces the literal idea that women are more easily deceived than men and prone to sin, and thus should be silent in church. Or as St. John Chrysostom, a fifth century church father noted, “The woman taught once and ruined everything. On this account…let her not teach.” It seems wrong ideas of how things really came to be have very big consequences over a very long time!

Paul goes on to say…”The head of every man is Christ; and the head of every woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God….for as much as he is in the image and glory of God, BUT ( as in , don’t get the same idea about women) the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is NOT of the woman, but the woman IS OF the man.” I COr. 11:3,7,9.

Very simply put, Paul said that men are over women, Christ alone is over men and God alone is over Christ. So it’s God > Christ > Man > Woman > pets and small animals. It is notable that it is here that Paul makes it plain, based on the creation of woman out of man mythology, that Men don’t come from women at all and that women owe their physical existence to men too. I guess Paul and Dr. Alexander Thiele never actually met to discuss just how do males form in the womb. Like it or not guys, we come from out mom’s literally and from the default fetal template of the female in time after we get our hormones in the womb. So men actually do come twice from females. Doh…someone tell the Church!

St Clement, father of the Roman CHurch denied women the right to even exercise as men. He felt rather it was more in keeping with scripture that they be confined to spinning, weaving and cooking. Of course he could barely bring himself to add “and se..se…sex, unless it was out of the need to bring children into the fold.

St. Augustine, not the most balanced Church Father of the lot proclaimed that man only was made in God’s image and not woman. But that’s what Paul said too. He went on to note that men were quite complete without a woman, but that women could only be complete with a man. Man alone was self contained and complete alone. Once again, time has shown how untrue this all is, but the concept is still used by many churches and pastors to keep women in “their place” and fulfilling their “role”.

Other theologians and Church Father’s went on to note that men were the spiritual aspect of God, while women were merely a symbol of the flesh and thus she is the temptress and weakener of men who fail to see what the Church points out.

In the 16th Century, Clifford Alderman notes in a his book, A Caldron of Witches, that an early Church report noted that “Woman is more carnal than man: there was a defect in the formation of the first woman, since she was formed with a BENT RIB. She is imperfect and always deceives.” Now there is some hot scientific reasoning for you! Of course no one notes that if women are deceptive because of being made out of a bent rib, what is a man that he was made out of red dirt? Maybe that’s why men are so dirty minded..:)

Modern Christianity is still designed and used to annihilate the spirt of women. It’s is still here to keep patriarchy in place and to defeat the matriarcy of former times. Women were mystical in those cultures as opposed to utilitarian in that of a patriarchy or man led society and religion. I believe I would much rather to have lived in a society where women were held high for their spirituality and creative abilities. As it is, we live in the age, not of Aquarius but of testosterone, where men rule badly, kill often and take the spoils from those who cannot oppose them. I like Rodney King’s “Can’t we all just get along” far more than those who bluster “Bring em on.” But alas, tis not that way in our real world at this point.

You have to love this observation by the great philosopher Rousseau.

“As the conduct of a woman is subservient to the public opinion, her faith in matters of religion should , for that reason, be subject to authority. Every daughther ought to be of the same religion as her mother, and every wife to be the same religion as her husband; for though such religion should be false, that docility which induces the mother and daughter to submit to the order of nature, takes away, in the sight of God, the criminality of their error…they are not in a capacity to judge for themselves, they ought to abide by the decision of their fathers and husbands as confidently as that of the Church.” Or as Paul would say, “if any woman has a question, let her ask her husband…”

So when does the church grow up and face the facts of science, and not base silly and demeaning demands upon women on mythology and error? When does a church finally admit to errors in teachings that hurt people? Never from what I can see. Let’s remember, the Church took 350 years to apologize for almost burning Galileo at the stake for informing them that the earth was not the center of the solar system with the sun revolving around it or around the Church for that matter. Yet that’s about the right amount of time for Churches to come to their senses and stop demanding of people things based in falicies. At what point does ignorance stop oppression and pain?

Only a relative few Christian women will have the confidence to step out of the box of fundamentalist Church control. They will suffer at the hands of ministers who quote Paul who frankly was misinformed as to how things really are in biology, endochrinology and genetics. Literal control over a woman by using allegorical or just plain wrong “facts” is wrong. It hurts the spirit and demeans the woman in a world where we better soon wake up to the fact that we all are one and the same.

So sorry guys…without a woman, you would not exist, and without a good sprinkling of hormones at just the right time after your conception, the female default position you started out as would keep you there or perhaps acting in ways that the Bible also goes on to condemn you for, sometimes with death.

Whether your pastor, church, tribe or friends like it, good science, truthfully so called, trumps sincere but ignorant Apostles, Priests, Popes and Kings. Dr. Thiele is correct.

“Contrary to some creation myths, in mammals, maleness arises from femaleness, not the other way round.”

How cool is that!
